Public Health Orders/BC Ministry of Education Guidelines for singing

BC Girls Choir is in compliance with all up-to-date Public Health Orders. Specifically concerning masking while indoors, gatherings and events, and the vaccine mandate:

  • Masks are required in all public indoor settings for all people born in 2009 and earlier (12+)
  • Indoor events – maximum of 50 people or 50% capacity; whichever is greater
  • All singers, staff, chaperones, and persons born in 2009 and earlier are required to show proof of vaccination:
    • To observe, attend, chaperone, or participate in any or all BCGC in-person rehearsals, concerts, events, or camp

BC Girls Choir is in compliance with all up-to-date BC Ministry of Education guidelines around singing:

  • All staff and students in grades four and up must wear a mask while singing indoors.
  • Sing in a well-ventilated space
  • Maximize the distance between singers based on the space available
  • No sharing of sheet music
  • Modeling and promoting hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette
